Patient CareStudents enrolled in Sports Medicine 1-2 will concentrate on prevention and care of athletic related injuries. Students will take what they learned in Sports Medicine 1-1 and delve into a more in depth look into the body and the injuries and illnesses that occur due to athletic activity.
 
Future employment opportunities for students could include athletic training jobs, kinesiology careers, physical therapy, coaching careers and physical training careers.

Students enrolled in Sports Medicine 1-1 will concentrate on learning technical skills through handson experience with a variety of equipment, as well as care and prevention products related to each of the four areas. Students will develop an understanding of the role of Sport Injury Technician, Physical Therapy Aide, Athletic Trainer, and the Fitness Technician industry through the use of critical thinking skills.

Students enrolled in Sports Medicine 1-2 will concentrate on prevention and care of athletic related injuries. Students will take what they learned in Sports Medicine 1-1 and delve into a more in depth look into the body and the injuries and illnesses that occur due to athletic activity. Students will have the opportunity to intern in various sports on the NU campus in a shadowing capacity with the possibility of actual hands on experiences.
Advanced Sports Medicine

In this hands-on class, students will get experience with advanced athletic training procedures and techniques under the supervision of the instructor. Classroom instruction will build on concepts learned in the Sports Medicine class and will combine theoretical anatomy and physiology concepts with practical application. Student will be placed into internships either with sports teams or a physical therapy clinic. Future employment opportunities for students could include athletic training jobs, kinesiology careers, physical therapy, coaching careers and physical training careers.
